Excellent food and service. The restaurant has decor from the 50s which is great, but it could use some updating.

Buffet not all that big for the price.

I have been eating at Kings since I believe 1952, where I ate my first fried oysters that were great and I was 6 years o... I have been eating at Kings since I believe 1952, where I ate my first fried oysters that were great and I was 6 years old. My family would go to Kings every Sunday for as long as I can remember. In 1964 I entered the Army and when I came home in 1968 from Vietnam, Kings was the first one I went to eat. I left Kinston again in 1973, however, I would visit my mother and father every few weeks. My father passed in 1979 and my mother passed in 1993. When I visited, we always went out to Kings. After 1993, I worked in Roanoke, Va and then Waukesha, Wisconsin until 2008. When I returned to NC, I stayed in the motel across the road from Kings for 3 weeks while my home was being readied for me to move in. Needless to say, I had lunch and dinner just about every day. I then moved to La Grange and now I usually visit Kings several times a month and will purchase several items to bring home after enjoying their fantastic buffet. In my opinion, there is not better place to eat than Kings. Read more Read less
